Remote Programming for Module Replacement.

from $150.00

This service covers updating vehicle software and performing calibration for replacement modules on used components. Please note this does not include Engine Control Modules (DMEs), Transmissions that require ISN or EWS pairing (see Remote Transmission Pairing Service), CAS/FEM/BDC units (these require bench work and must be shipped in), Kombi clusters (unless they are virginized or brand new), or head units (see Remote Head Unit Replacement).

This service includes programming, coding and teach in when applicable.

For these services the technician will need an appropriate cable — a K+DCAN cable for E‑series and Mini R‑series vehicles or an ENET cable for F and G‑series — a Windows laptop running Windows 10 or 11, and a reliable Wi‑Fi connection. An iCOM interface is preferred when available for all series. A power supply is also recommended, minimum 50 A constant at 13 V or higher.

WARNING: For E‑series programming the technician must use a K+DCAN cable with upgraded firmware (such as the K+DCAN cables we sull, or those from Boostmonkey or BimmerLabs). Many modules now have updated signatures that generic cables cannot provide; attempting flashes with generic cables can brick modules (render them inoperable) and in some cases may not be recoverable even with an upgraded cable or iCOM. Examples of sensitive procedures include engine control module flashing, transmission flashing, AFS (active steering) updates, and others.

***Please also note that programming replacement transfer cases on G8X M3/M4 vehicles carries an additional cost due to Secure Coding 2.0 requirements.
